Transport,Distribution and Logistics Operations Manager

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 37.5 – 40 hours per week

Salary: £34,000 per annum

Role Overview

We are seeking a Transport, Distribution and Logistics Operations Manager to lead freight and supply chain operations, ensure compliance with customs regulations, and drive efficiency and service improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily import, export, freight, and customs operations.
Lead international shipping, clearance, and delivery processes.
Oversee supply chain strategy, route optimisation, and distribution cost control.
Ensure compliance with HMRC, customs, and UK legal requirements.
Coordinate with overseas agents, suppliers, and transport partners.
Improve logistics operations models and ensure client satisfaction.
Supervise staff and maintain safety, compliance, and monitor KPIs

Candidate Requirements

Extensive experience in transport, distribution, and logistics management.
Strong knowledge of international shipping and customs processes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to manage budgets and meet operational targets.
Degree in logistics, supply chain, or related discipline.
